These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application Your Tasks (the "App"), developed and operated by Lutarea ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is distributed for Apple platforms (iPhone and iPad) and is listed on the Apple App Store under the marketing name Your Tasks (internal product name may appear as "Your Life Checklist" in some technical contexts).
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App and eligibility
Your Tasks is a productivity application for personal task and project management (including features such as Today, Current lists and kanban boards, Someday, Inbox processing, projects with sections, notes, labels, daily templates, optional passcode and biometric lock, optional privacy cover in the app switcher, manual JSON export and import between devices (with optional save to iCloud Drive Lutarea BACKUPS when iCloud is available), an optional home screen "Today" widget showing daily and task progress, and an optional first-launch onboarding (skippable swipeable intro to the main tabs). You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required by Apple and applicable law to use the App.
2. Apple App Store
If you obtain the App through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's applicable terms and rules, including the Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store Guidelines. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, or support, except as required by Apple's policies.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store from which you obtained the App.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where mandatory law allows.
- You may not use the App in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.
4. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for the tasks, projects, notes, attachments, links, and other content you create or import into the App. You represent that you have the rights necessary to store and process that content on your devices. In the current version, live task data is stored locally on the device; exported JSON backups may be saved to iCloud Drive or another folder you choose.
Optional features may access Apple frameworks you approve in system prompts (for example, calendar access through EventKit when you choose to create calendar events from inbox processing, or biometric authentication for app lock). If you add the home screen widget, a limited summary of today's tasks may appear on your home screen as described in our Privacy Policy. The first-launch onboarding is informational only and does not collect additional personal data beyond a local "completed" flag on your device. You control whether those features are used.
5. Third-party services and import
The App may offer import from third-party sources (for example, Trello) and opening of external links in the system browser. Those services have their own terms and privacy policies. We are not responsible for third-party services.
6. Free tier and Pro (in-app purchase)
The App may offer a free tier with usage limits and an optional paid Pro upgrade through the Apple App Store (when available). Limits may apply to certain features such as the number of lists, projects, daily templates, or advanced Inbox processing options. Prices, availability, and exact limits are shown in the App at the time of purchase. Subscriptions or one-time purchases, if offered, are billed by Apple and subject to Apple's payment terms. You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple ID settings.
Until Pro is available for purchase, the App may be distributed free of charge; we may adjust limits during beta or TestFlight testing.
7. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of loss of data. You are responsible for maintaining your own backups using export features where available.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lutarea and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if the App is free.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may cease providing the App or disable access where required by law or if you materially breach these Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under consumer protection rules in your country of residence. Courts or authorities with jurisdiction over disputes may vary by region.
