These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the mobile application Your Budgets (the "App"), developed and operated by Lutarea ("we", "us", or "our"). The App is distributed for Apple platforms (iPhone, iPad, and optional Apple Watch) and is listed on the Apple App Store under the name Your Budgets.
By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
1. The App and eligibility
Your Budgets is a family budgeting application. Features include tracking expenses and income, family members and salaries, categories and budgets, savings goals, recurring rules, multi-currency accounts and loans, crypto holdings with cached rates, a 12-month planner, bank CSV import, receipt attachments, optional location on expenses, reports and charts, optional passcode and biometric lock, JSON export and import (with optional save to iCloud Drive Lutarea BACKUPS), optional iCloud sync via CloudKit across your Apple devices, home screen widgets, Live Activities, Apple Watch quick-add and complications, and Siri Shortcuts. You must be able to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction and meet any minimum age required by Apple and applicable law.
The App helps you organize personal or household finances. It is not professional tax, legal, investment, or accounting advice. You are responsible for the accuracy of amounts you enter and for complying with tax and banking rules in your country.
2. Apple App Store
If you obtain the App through the Apple App Store, your use is also subject to Apple's applicable terms and rules, including the Apple Media Services Terms and the App Store Guidelines. Apple is not responsible for the App or its content, maintenance, or support, except as required by Apple's policies.
3. License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable license to install and use the App on Apple devices you own or control, in accordance with the usage rules of the store from which you obtained the App.
- You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, or reverse engineer the App except where mandatory law allows.
- You may not use the App in any way that violates applicable law or infringes third-party rights.
4. Your content and conduct
You are responsible for the financial entries, names, notes, attachments, and other content you create in the App. Budget data is stored locally on the device; optional CloudKit sync and exported backups may copy data to iCloud or folders you choose.
Optional features may use Apple frameworks you approve (for example biometric authentication for app lock, location while using the App, notifications, camera or photo library for receipts, or Siri Shortcuts). If you add widgets, Live Activities, or Watch complications, limited summaries may appear on your device surfaces as described in our Privacy Policy. Exchange-rate features contact public APIs (Frankfurter, supplementary fiat sources, and CoinGecko) as described in the Privacy Policy.
5. Import, export, and backups
The App may let you import bank CSV files, export JSON backups (with optional attachment zip sidecars), and export PDF reports. You are responsible for what you import, export, and share, and for reviewing backup contents before relying on them. Recipients of exported files can read the data you include.
User JSON backups in Lutarea BACKUPS / Your Budgets Backups are separate from optional CloudKit database sync. Availability of iCloud, CloudKit, and third-party rate APIs depends on network conditions and those providers.
6. Free tier and Pro (future)
The App may offer a free tier with usage limits and an optional paid Pro upgrade through the Apple App Store in a future version. Until then, the App may be distributed without charge. We may adjust limits during beta or TestFlight testing. Content above any limit that already exists in your library may remain readable and editable; creating new items beyond limits may be restricted when limits apply.
7. Changes to the App and Terms
We may update the App or these Terms from time to time. Material changes to the Terms will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date on this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms where permitted by law.
8. Disclaimer
The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, to the fullest extent permitted by law. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of loss of data. Currency conversion and forecasts depend on rates and rules you configure; maintain your own backups using export features.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Lutarea and its contributors will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities, arising out of or in connection with your use of the App. Our aggregate liability for any claim arising from the App will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for the App in the twelve months before the claim or (b) zero if the App is free.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted.
10. Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may cease providing the App or disable access where required by law or if you materially breach these Terms.
11. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by applicable law without regard to conflict-of-law principles, subject to any non-waivable rights you have under consumer protection rules in your country of residence. Courts or authorities with jurisdiction over disputes may vary by region.
