Getting the App
Your Plants is distributed through the Apple App Store (or TestFlight during beta). Search for Your Plants by Lutarea on your iPhone or iPad.
The App requires iOS 17.0 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad. Bundle identifier: com.lutarea.yourplants.
Common topics
- Offline-first records — plants and care data are stored on your device with SwiftData. There is no Lutarea account and no CloudKit sync of the live database. To move data to another device, export a JSON backup from Settings and import it on the other device (Replace).
- Categories — houseplant, succulent, orchid, herb, vegetable, fruit, ornamental, and tree/shrub. Each category can show relevant fields (indoor light and pot details, outdoor hardiness, edible sowing and harvest timing).
- Care Today — overdue, today, and upcoming care tasks; mark done, skip or postpone; filter by care type; batch water plants in the same location.
- Journal and harvest — notes, photos, height measurements, blooming, and harvest amounts linked to a plant.
- iCloud backup (optional) — Settings → Data: export to Files → Lutarea BACKUPS → Your Plants Backups (container
iCloud.com.lutarea.backups). Import replaces existing data after confirmation. Requires iCloud; Lutarea does not receive the backup contents. - Free limits — Free plan can create up to 30 plants and 5 care schedules per plant. Existing items above a limit remain editable; creating new ones is blocked until you free space. No in-app purchases in the current Free-only release.
- Themes and language — system / light / dark / Leaf themes; nine interface languages or follow the system language.
- Not professional advice — the App helps you organize care and reminders; it does not diagnose plant problems or guarantee growing results.
- Reset — archive or delete plants in the App, or uninstall to remove local storage. Exported JSON files remain files you manage yourself.
Reporting a problem
When you email support, please include your iOS version, App version (from Settings → About or TestFlight), and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots help. For backup import issues, note that import uses Replace.
