Getting the App

Your Companions is distributed through the Apple App Store (or TestFlight during beta). Search for Your Companions by Lutarea on your iPhone or iPad.

The App requires iOS 17.0 or later and runs on iPhone and iPad. Bundle identifier: com.lutarea.yourpets.

Common topics

  • Offline-first records — pets and health data are stored on your device with SwiftData. There is no Lutarea account and no CloudKit sync of the live database. To move data to another device, export a JSON backup from Settings and import it on the other device (Merge or Replace).
  • Species-aware profiles — dog, cat, bird, fish, reptile, amphibian, rodent, rabbit, horse, and other. Each species can show relevant fields (for example aquarium water logs for fish, pedigree for dogs and cats).
  • Health and care — vaccinations (with presets and suggested due dates), vet visits, treatments, care tasks with optional reminders, weight charts, and document expiry tracking in Today.
  • Today — overdue, today, and upcoming items across pets, including birthdays and expiring documents.
  • iCloud backup (optional) — Settings → Backup: export to Files → Lutarea BACKUPS → Your Companions Backups (container iCloud.com.lutarea.backups). Import supports Merge or Replace. Requires iCloud; Lutarea does not receive the backup contents.
  • Medical PDF — from a pet's detail screen you can export a PDF summary of vaccinations, treatments, visits, and weight to share with a veterinarian.
  • Free limits — Free plan can create up to 3 pets, 10 care tasks per pet, and 5 documents per pet. Existing items above a limit remain editable; creating new ones is blocked until you free space. No in-app purchases in the current Free-only release.
  • Themes and language — system / light / dark / Terracotta themes; nine interface languages or follow the system language.
  • Not veterinary advice — the App helps you organize records and reminders; it does not diagnose or treat animals.
  • Reset — delete pets in the App, or uninstall to remove local storage. Exported JSON and PDF files remain files you manage yourself.

Reporting a problem

When you email support, please include your iOS version, App version (from Settings → About or TestFlight), and steps to reproduce the issue. Screenshots help. For backup import issues, note whether you used Merge or Replace.
