Getting the App

Your Manga is distributed through the Apple App Store (or TestFlight during beta). Search for Your Manga by Lutarea on your iPhone or iPad.

The App requires iOS 17.0 or later. Optional home screen widgets and the Share Extension use App Group group.com.lutarea.yourmanga.

Common topics

  • Your library — series, chapters, volumes, genres, favorites, search, and continue reading. Catalog metadata is library.json; page files live under series/<uuid>/.
  • Import formats — CBZ, CBR, ZIP, RAR, PDF, EPUB, and folders of images. ComicInfo.xml is read when present. Encrypted or multi-volume RAR is not supported.
  • Import methods — Files picker, Share Extension, Open in…, batch import, direct HTTP(S) link to a raw file, and OPDS acquisition links from catalogs you add. The App does not parse website HTML readers or built-in third-party catalogs.
  • Reader — image chapters (RTL, fit width, webtoon, bookmarks, dimming), PDF reader, EPUB reader (local spine only). Progress is saved per chapter.
  • iCloud — when signed into iCloud, the library syncs via iCloud Drive (iCloud.com.lutarea.yourmanga). Settings show download / free-up-space actions for evictable local copies. Conflict resolution for library.json may prompt you to pick a version.
  • JSON backup — under Settings → Data, export or import catalog JSON (merge, replace, or merge and prune). Exports go to iCloud Drive → Lutarea BACKUPS → Your Manga Backups when iCloud is available, or a custom folder you choose. JSON backups do not include all media files — keep the same iCloud library container when restoring on a new device.
  • OPDS — add catalog URLs (for example self-hosted Komga or Kavita). Browse feeds and queue file downloads. Lutarea does not provide a default catalog list.
  • Reading statistics — local time-in-reader and completed chapters; optional widgets; included in backup v2; not synced to Lutarea servers.
  • Security — optional passcode and Face ID / Touch ID under Settings → Security; widgets may hide titles when locked.
  • Widgets and Shortcuts — continue reading, favorites, reading stats; Shortcuts to open library, series, import, or OPDS.
  • Language — nine interface languages in Settings → Language (English, Ukrainian, German, Italian, Russian, Slovak, Spanish, French, Czech).
  • Content rights — only import manga and comics you have the right to read. See the Formats tab in the App for supported file types and the direct-link policy.

Reporting a problem

When you email support, include your iOS version, App version (Settings → About), and steps to reproduce. For import issues, note the file type, whether iCloud was available, and any error message. For OPDS issues, include the catalog URL (if you are comfortable sharing it) and whether the link is a direct file or acquisition entry.
