This Privacy Policy describes how Lutarea ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the mobile application Your Dreams (the "App") for Apple iOS and iPadOS, including the home screen widget and Apple Watch companion. The App uses the bundle identifier com.lutarea.yourdreams; the widget extension uses com.lutarea.yourdreams.widget; the Watch app uses com.lutarea.yourdreams.watchkitapp.

1. Summary

Your Dreams stores your dreams, calculator inputs, and preferences on your device. When you are signed into iCloud, dreams may sync through Apple CloudKit (container iCloud.com.lutarea.yourdreams). Optional JSON backups you export are stored separately in the shared Lutarea iCloud Documents container (iCloud.com.lutarea.backups, shown in Files as Lutarea BACKUPS) or in a folder you choose. Lutarea does not operate its own backend that receives your dream data for advertising or resale, and we do not embed third-party advertising or analytics SDKs in the App.

2. Data we process

Depending on how you use the App, categories of information may include:

  • Dream data — titles, amounts, currencies, deadlines, notes, tags, progress, completion status, vision-board pin state, optional partner fields on couple goals, contribution entries, and reminder settings you configure.
  • Calculator inputs and history — values you enter in the seven calculators and optional saved history snapshots stored locally in app preferences.
  • Vision photos (optional) — when you attach a photo to a dream on the vision board, the image is stored in the App Group container on device.
  • Preferences — theme, language, default currency and inflation, vision board toggle, monthly reminders toggle, exchange rates, onboarding state, security settings, and similar options in UserDefaults / App Group storage.
  • App lock (optional) — passcode material in the device Keychain; Face ID / Touch ID handled by iOS when enabled.
  • Notifications (optional) — if you enable monthly reminders, the App schedules repeating local notifications on your device for dreams you choose. Notification text is generated on device; we do not send push messages from Lutarea servers.
  • Widgets and Watch (optional) — limited dream progress snapshots written to App Group group.com.lutarea.yourdreams for WidgetKit and the Watch companion; not sent to Lutarea servers.
  • User JSON backups — export writes dream data to Lutarea BACKUPS or a custom folder; import reads files you select.
  • Diagnostics visible to Apple — if you opt in to share analytics with Apple, Apple may collect crash or usage diagnostics under Apple's policies.

3. Purposes and legal bases (EEA, UK, and similar)

Where the GDPR or similar laws apply, we rely on appropriate bases such as:

  • Performance of a contract / steps at your request — providing the App and features you enable.
  • Legitimate interests — securing the App and improving stability, where not overridden by your rights.
  • Consent — where required for optional permissions (photos, biometrics, notifications), as managed by iOS.

4. Storage and retention

Core dream data is stored on your device with SwiftData and, when iCloud is available, synced through your private CloudKit container. Widget and Watch snapshots stay in the App Group on your devices. Retention is controlled by you: delete dreams in the App, turn off sync by signing out of iCloud, remove JSON backups from Files, or uninstall the App.

5. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. Data may be processed by:

  • Apple — App Store, iCloud / CloudKit, WidgetKit, App Groups, photo pickers, Face ID / Touch ID, Siri Shortcuts, and device security.
  • Law and safety — if legally required, subject to applicable law.

6. International transfers

If you use iCloud or store backups in cloud storage, Apple may process data under their terms. Lutarea does not operate its own cross-border database for your dreams.

7. Security

Protect your device, passcode, and Apple ID. Optional app lock and privacy cover help hide content on your device. JSON backups you export are your responsibility to store safely.

8. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, rectify, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing. Much of this can be done in the App or by managing iCloud and exported files. Contact us at the email below for privacy requests.

9. Children

The App is not directed at children under the age where parental consent is required in your jurisdiction.

10. Changes

We may update this Policy; the "Last updated" date above will change. Additional notice will be provided where required by law.
